I am left with more questions than answers...
Who started the process
Did City Council Know
Did City staff know
Why did pinchin make those comments
housing providers or landlords what is their role and the role of the Board?
Who instructed the one contractor to do the work Christmas Eve and only do a small part of it...who is now sitting in jail for murder..knew something was not right about him....
Why did they refuse to deal with several complaints made by female tenants about one of the male contractors
Why did the admin lie...
Why mislead the board is the board aware of the truth more inclined to believe they condone these actions..
what is the city`s role in all this....
libel libel libel
legal redress
is the only options left...

Lt. Gov. David Onley.

City council can approve $10,000 or more from a contingency fund to pay for a New Year's Day with the Lt. Gov. David Onley.
Mayor Paul Ayotte made the request on Monday at the committee of the whole meeting. The City Council will give approval next week but they could not cover a widow`s request to cover the costs for repairs…
There's a cost to hosting a reception with the lieutenant governor, and there is a cost to maintaining a house…but they chose to ignore that fact

Brehon Law or Natural Justice

Brehon Law or Natural Justice

It was based on compensation and worked far better than our current laws in force today.

It was a combination based law more from the bottom up but the imperialism destroyed all that.
It was far more effective than any current laws in place today and people honored the natural laws of justice.

It was based more on people’s rights and defended people’s rights rather than rights and compensation for the benefit of the state. People in positions of authority that chose to abuse their position of authority or class status became demoted right quick.

Keepers of knowledge the oral history and laws passed down from one generation to another.

Dealing with the current system is difficult when raised with the knowledge of the ancient legal system and practices considered the norm.

Perhaps that is why the great love and understanding of the natural law but a law or a legal system of today is ineffective and changed must be forced.

The innate law of natural justice is one of which is consistence with the natural world.
The most valuable wisdoms came from the words spoken, imparted by the elders around me and for that I am most grateful.

Dealing with our current legal system often frustrates the hell out of me because it goes against every fiber of natural justice that is threaded throughout my genetic code and close to the heart.

no qualms using the same rules that have been applied or used against me just that unlike those so deeply entrenched in it…
The disrepute of the City of Peterborough and the very people who abuse their authority is like
a lie which is like a dark night
with no light from the moon
it forever leaves a black mark on a person …
and
no amount of prayers will save an unrepentant soul

When Communication Breaks down the Great Class Divide

When Communication Breaks down the Great Class Divide

I went to my Tribunal hearing which was rather interesting when I started asking questions..the hearing was put over till December but of course the admin threw in a dig

I filed a T6 form which is a maintenance form to get the landlord to do repairs in October 2008.
I have no legal representation so this is a real learning curve anyway

I was led to believe that hearings were held only on Thursdays once a month because of cutbacks and it would take awhile to hear my case.

So here is what I have gathered so far …The City of Peterborough and Homegrown homes aka PHDC was going to evict a woman suffering from MS and we prevented it from happening and no doubt there is still some lingering seething resentment from the 1130 water street

I raised concerns over the treatment of the poor in the city and disagreed with the
Housing Administrator - the wife of a city Councillor
This councilor remained in the room during the deputations and voting and placed undue influence on other council members

The next election will be very different how many don`t actually vote?
If someone ran that people believe in the outcome will be very different
Change the mindset change the class thinking control the outcome!

Legislation in 2007 stated all housing providers had to notify tenants of the presence of asbestos in their units.
I requested a meeting to ensure that the health of the tenants would not be adversely affected.
I questioned the expenditures of repairs to ensure accountability as I suspected something was amiss and as result the process to evict me from my home commenced.

The point of the hearing delay is once city council passes a motion to demolish a house it is not usually reversed but in my case it is a matter of not acting in good faith.

Housing Tribunal will not order repairs on a place that is slated for demolition is that how it works?

Who delayed the housing tribunal hearing till city council passed the motion?
Perhaps the city staff persons took great offence at being challenged.
The other tenants have remained in their homes which contained asbestos
How much paint has been charged to the city account
Conversations with a pinchin employee was generalized in nature except for direct questions is it safe to be in the house and is it ok to clean it up off the floor and or paint!! But if privacy and respect and honesty and fair rules are not applicable well so be it

Lets look at due diligence
HGH
Corporation of the City of Peterborough
Pinchin
Staff
Housing Tribunal

I am appalled by the actions and inactions of these people and it really is us and them

you should have negotiated a legitimate relationship and communicated Pandora’s box has been opened

Responsible journalism

Responsible journalism should be based on facts, accuracy and truthful reporting and the source should be considered for accuracy, reliability and credibility.

1120 Water Street never experienced a problem with flooding but sewer back -up did occur due to an outdated system that was clogged with tree roots.

The province paid the cost to upgrade the aging infrastructure not the City of Peterborough.

The foundation is not leaking and there is no old and new part of the basement as stated.

How much did the City of Peterborough invest in repairs?
The tenant in 9 years has paid almost fifty thousand dollars….

The taxpayers are charged for repairs or replacements billed as new but in reality were used.

How about the paint accounts that the city passes off to taxpayers and how much has been charged for paint?

Color your world may have the answer to this question...

The tenant did not clean or remove the mould from 1122 water street as stated cuz the tenant was not in the City of Peterborough @ the time.

So who is misleading who?

An elected member of council voted in by the people should always make well informed decisions before voting on a matter that will cost the taxpayers more money

No letter was received on February 2007 and the tenant was not kept informed.

A basement apartment at 1122 shhh it is an illegal duplex..that was offered but the replacement of the old kitchen cupboards which were falling apart and the removal of the mould was not completed as per the agreement.

A basement bedroom at 1122 water lacked an egress window which is required in each bedroom.

Housing informed tenant that a bedroom in the basement of 1120 Water Street was not permitted for insurance purposes and safety reasons in the event of a fire.

The entire duct work is not covered in asbestos only a small vent left over from an old heating system.

This should have been noted after the sewer-back up when the ceiling tiles were removed by contractors hired by the city of Peterborough.

Lost in all this mix is the concern for the safety of this family?

The findings from the mould report have never been discussed and only a preliminary report was communicated.

A breakdown in effective communication and timely responses may leave a family homeless.

The unnecessary high expenditures of a demolition will be passed onto the taxpayers of Peterborough.

Can a report from Brian Horton who has not entered the residence of 1120 Water be considered a valid report?

Events leading to present situation on housing

Just a rant.....about life and situations and her first blog

She moved into a house in April 2000 and in the beginning she had some concerns about it.
It looked nice and it was a nice location but she felt uncomfortable.

You know how you just get that feeling but you can`t put your finger on it..

Anyway she actually came back three times before saying yes.

The move did not go as smooth as she had hoped but they managed to get through it.

She received the first hydro bill for twenty-six thousand dollars and was facing disconnect after only being here one month.
This could not be real so she phoned the local energy provider only to find out that indeed this amount was owing as the previous person (City) did not pay their bill
