Members of the Committee of the Whole
FROM
Brian Horton, Senior Director of Corporate Services
MEETING DATE: October 20, 2008
SUBJECT:
Report CPFPRS08-019
Demolition of 1120 Water Street
PURPOSE
A report to recommend the City-owned house on 1120 Water Street, Peterborough be
demolished.
RECOMMENDATION
That Council approve the recommendation outlined in Report CPFPRS08-019 dated
October 20, 2008, of the Director of Corporate Services, as follows:
That the City-owned house at 1120 Water Street be demolished at an estimated cost of
$50,000, plus $2,500 GST (PST not applicable) for a total cost of $52,500.
Who released information to the newspaper regarding the houses owned by the City of Peterborough before informing the tenants of the inevitable eviction?
What about the other two houses on Water Street that are city owned?
Why is it only costing 10,000.00 to tear down these houses but 1120 Water Street, which is approx 900 sq ft it is as noted above…?
Patti Patti Patti Do you remember the conversation about irresponsible property owners I remember it well…
Ann is a lawyer but where is due diligence if a landlord knowingly permits a tenant and their family to remain in an unsafe building?
Paul Ayotte is a practicing Christian how can he permit or anyone for that matter who professes to be a god loving god-fearing goodly people treat people inhumanely…the warming and cooling room was to provide the less fortunate with some respite from the elements.
May God have mercy on your souls…cuz there is none here to be found…
1918 piece of history quote from the health records…in a loss of long-standing norms, values, and societal and spiritual practices. These factors, along with others, allowed for an all too easy transition from a state of good health to ill health.
People at ourspace are crowded into a small poorly ventilated area; these people are suffering high levels of stressors, lack of income, poor nutrition, etc.. Perfect breeding grounds for an epidemic and bacterium and virus have no economic barriers …and no amount of money can change antibiotic resistant bugs…not even communication quorum disruptors ..
Are the internal emails and memos still contained in the files of the tenants ….??

What is this about?
If you see a public property that needs fixing, email ltuffin@mykawartha.com
The poverty class is under attack and better wake and it will creep up in the class system...but as they are working for the man they can`t see it....
Did the audits hit the net yet?
Did it get done via blackberry
So did the City of Peterborough end up in the weeds and did it really get passed...did they have in camera session and really discuss padding out expenses...on the committee it was all recorded...keepers are no longer keeping
Cladosporium at Indoor Air Quality Laboratory
last plague indeed selectively tended to affect the firstborn, it could be due to food infected by the black mold Cladosporium. be more likely to be affected by any toxin
what is wrong with the brock mission and the city of peterborough for allowing this...turn on the air cheap..renovate the building and they will separate the people..males from the women and children...bullcrap wake-up this is how the whiteman won the war against the natives and blacks and poor white trash of the us...and of course the residential schools in canada...look up...
The City does not want to repair the houses and let it fall into a state of disrepair. An internal memo is the file contains information relating to one’s political associations and reference to a squat that took place at 1130 Water Street in 2004.
City Staff Brian Horton and the lawyer John Hart (deceased) have a series of internal emails going back and forth regarding the situation.
They wanted to pass this motion as quickly as possible so City Council did not have time to look into the matter and a motion to demolish the house was passed.
At a later meeting, city staff asked if they would be sued but without the financial resources, I cannot access the legal system.
Your office may be considered party to this as it does state a person should seek out all other financial resources and that is something your legal team should be considering as they are a third party.
Benefits for people are either suspended or pulled and all the necessary information is provided so this suspension is political in nature.
I cannot have even the most basic questions answered and furthermore a person without transportation is expected to use ankle express to reach the Cobourg office from the Campbellford area.
I have everything to substantiate what I am stating.
I do not expect your office to micro-manage social services but at the same time people should be treated in a fair and consistence manner in keeping with the legislation, polices and regulations.
A follow-up regarding this matter is expected as this genocide and massive destruction of the poverty class and their culture has gone too far….
Unless of course your government condones a violation of alleged rights?
Perhaps it is local government and the bureaucratic system that is really in control and these renegades no longer fall under the preview of any political leader…..
"We fight and fight and fight. We fight no matter what the cost of battle, the losses we take, the improbability of success. We fight to the very end. It's not a question of courage. It's something constitutional, an inability to let go. It may be nothing more than life-hungry stupidity."
